VPD is now ready to deploy net zero in the future

A new project is festively inaugurated at WDP's latest Supercharged Event. This time at  VPD - the expert and trendsetter in last-mile logistics. "This is our first green mobility hub," says Svetlana Nikolayonok, Business Developer at WDP, proudly.

The transporter's ambition is to be CO2 neutral by 2025. And that is a big challenge since the cost of electric vans and trucks is as much as three to four times higher than for a conventional vehicle. Fortunately, WDP supporting in terms of infrastructure. "Otherwise, the investments would be too heavy," explains Dirk Van Peteghem, founder of VPD Transport & Logistics.

Unburdening customers

WDP offers a total solution. "We ease our customers whilst they stay focused on their core business," adds Svetlana. The enthusiasm for this new project is high. "I find this concept very interesting for us as well," concludes Facility Manager of DHL Express, Desie Van Steen. The festive kick-off has been given, the sparks are literally bursting, time now to hit the road with a bunch of green energy!
