Legal Counsel
As Legal Counsel, you will be part of the legal team in the Netherlands and provide support to WDP’s operations in the Netherlands. In this role you report to the Director of Business & Legal. Moreover, you will be part of an international legal team within WDP, comprised of lawyers from Belgium and Romania.
Here’s what you’ll be up to
You will be involved in all legal rental matters, supervise property transactions (including setting up due diligence procedures and drafting, checking and negotiating purchase and other contracts) and deal with the legal aspects of project development, such as drafting development contracts, building contracts and partnership agreements. Your tasks also include drafting green energy contracts and leases for WDP’s solar panel installations.
You will perform work in the field of liability law and insurance law, such as handling liability claims and claims for damage.
You will provide ad-hoc legal support to various teams within WDP such as business development, energy & sustainability, finance, project management and facility management.
Here’s your profile
- You have completed an Academic Master’s degree in Law.
- You ideally have at least three relevant years of work experience, preferably as a lawyer, (candidate) civil-law notary or as a corporate lawyer with a real estate investor or developer.
- You have an affinity with the logistics real estate sector.
- Experience in corporate rental law and construction law is a plus, as well as experience in insurance and liability law.
- You are native Dutch and have a very good knowledge of the English language.
- You have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- You are a real team player with a proactive attitude and a sense of responsibility.
- You are discreet and work in a structured manner.
- You can quickly switch between different files.
