From Brussels to Amsterdam to Paris: the story behind WDP’s three listings
Some milestones are decades in the making. This one spans three stock exchanges, three listing ceremonies, and one consistent story: WDP grows alongside its customers, expanding its presence across European markets.
On 28 October 2026, WDP marked another milestone in its European journey by ringing the opening bell at Euronext Paris in La Défense, celebrating its third stock exchange listing alongside Euronext Brussels and Euronext Amsterdam.
The third listing reflects WDP’s evolution from a Belgian family business into an integrated European logistics real estate platform.
Brussels, 1999: where it all started
WDP made its stock market debut in Brussels on 28 June 1999, when it was still a relatively small player in the Belgian logistics real estate market. The listing provided WDP with access to capital markets, greater visibility and the transparency and accountability that come with being a publicly listed company.
Nearly twenty years later, on 18 March 2019, WDP’s growth and development were reflected in its inclusion in the BEL20, Belgium’s benchmark stock market index. As Chairman Mark Duyck put it at the time: “Without our listing on the stock exchange, WDP would never have been able to achieve the growth, professionalisation, and brand awareness that we have now.”
In 2024, WDP celebrated its 25th anniversary as a listed company by ringing the bell at Euronext Brussels. On that occasion, CEO Joost Uwents captured the balance between WDP’s family roots and its stock market listing: “The family gives us long-term persistence, and the stock exchange gives us short-term sharpness.” This combination of long-term commitment and capital market discipline remains central to WDP’s identity today.
Amsterdam, 2015: reflecting WDP’s growing Dutch presence
By 2015, WDP’s Dutch portfolio had grown to match its Belgian home market in value. This growing presence was reflected in WDP’s second stock exchange listing, on Euronext Amsterdam, on 18 November 2015. No new shares were issued, and Brussels remained WDP’s reference market.
The move marked an important step in WDP’s development from a Belgian company into an established Benelux logistics real estate player, reinforcing its visibility among Dutch investors, customers and partners.
Beyond visibility, the dual listing also aimed to broaden and diversify WDP’s shareholder base, reflecting the growing importance of the Netherlands as one of its core markets.
Paris, 2026: reinforcing WDP’s European presence
Following Brussels in 1999 and Amsterdam in 2015, WDP’s third listing on Euronext Paris on 28 October 2026 marked another milestone in the development of its European logistics real estate platform.
Since 2024, WDP has significantly expanded its French portfolio, from approximately 165 million euros in 2024 to a portfolio approaching the 1 billion euro mark in 2026. This growth has established a stronger local presence in one of Europe’s key logistics markets. The Paris listing reflects this growing footprint, strengthening WDP’s visibility among French and international investors and broadening access to its shares.
The proposed combination with ARGAN, announced in July 2026, adds another dimension to this development. Subject to completion, it would expand WDP’s French platform to over 5 billion euros and create a European logistics real estate platform of more than 13 billion euros. The Paris listing also provides a local trading venue for French shareholders expected to become WDP shareholders following the merger.
France has become an increasingly important part of WDP’s European ambitions and is essential to serving our clients across Europe. In recent years, we have significantly scaled our presence. A listing in Paris is a logical extension of that industrial rationale, particularly in light of our proposed combination with ARGAN, which would give WDP significantly greater scale in this key European logistics market.
As WDP grows in scale, its capital markets profile needs to evolve with it. The Paris listing broadens access to the WDP share and supports liquidity. WDP’s top-tier credit strength, substantial self-financing capacity and disciplined capital allocation remain the foundations for the continued growth of our European platform, supporting above-average earnings per share growth and return on equity with a below-average risk profile.
What a third listing means for WDP
A third stock exchange listing is more than a symbolic milestone. For WDP, it supports several objectives:
- Greater accessibility for investors. Just as Amsterdam provided a local trading venue for Dutch investors, Euronext Paris makes WDP shares more accessible to French and international investors.
- Aligning capital markets presence with European growth. The Paris listing reflects WDP’s expanding European footprint and reinforces its visibility in one of Europe’s key logistics real estate markets.
- A broader, more diversified shareholder base. An additional trading venue broadens access to WDP shares, supports liquidity and contributes to the continued diversification of WDP’s shareholder base.
- Continuity without dilution. As with the Amsterdam listing in 2015, the Paris listing does not involve the issuance of new shares. Euronext Brussels remains WDP’s reference market.
