Here’s what you’ll be up to

As WDP continues to expand its logistics real estate portfolio in Romania, we are looking for a Cost Estimation & Procurement Engineer to support the successful delivery of our development projects.

Prepare cost estimates, budgets and financial forecasts for industrial and logistics real estate projects, ensuring accurate cost planning throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyse technical documentation, drawings and specifications, develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and validate subcontractor cost estimates.
Identify cost optimisation opportunities and support value-engineering initiatives while maintaining quality, safety and project requirements.
Coordinate procurement activities for construction materials, equipment and services, ensuring competitiveness, quality and timely delivery.
Source, evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, conduct tendering processes and perform bid comparisons.
Negotiate commercial conditions, support contract preparation and contribute to supplier selection and award recommendations.
Monitor project costs, supplier performance and contractual obligations, and provide financial and technical reporting to support project decision-making.
Collaborate closely with project development and construction teams to ensure cost-effective and successful project delivery.

Here’s your profile

You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Construction, Building Services Engineering, Construction Economics or a related field.
You have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial construction, cost estimation, quantity surveying and/or procurement.
You have experience working with general contractors, suppliers and subcontractors within construction projects.
You have a strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, procurement processes, construction contracts and project cost control.
You are able to interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation and have a solid understanding of construction materials and technologies.
You have strong analytical skills and a natural ability to identify cost optimisation opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
You combine excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
You are highly detail-oriented, organised and able to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
You are proficient in Microsoft Excel. Experience with MS Project, AutoCAD and cost estimation software is considered an asset.
You demonstrate integrity, accountability and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
You are fluent in Romanian and English.
