In today’s fast-paced world, logistics isn’t just about moving goods — it’s about moving them smarter, faster, and more sustainably. Kuehne+Nagel and WDP have long understood that innovation and adaptability are key to staying ahead of the curve. When scalability is the priority, the right partner can make all the difference.

Our collaboration with WDP has been instrumental in driving our logistics operations forward. They have the expertise, flexibility, and trustworthiness that we need to scale up — or down — whenever required

A long-standing partnership built on trust

Kuehne+Nagel is a global player in logistics, providing sea freight, airfreight, road logistics, with a focus on Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and offering integrated supply chain solutions across industries. Their partnership with WDP is not just a transaction — it’s a relationship built on mutual trust and shared goals.

WDP has been our partner of choice for years, and across several locations in Europe. Their deep understanding of logistics real estate makes them a reliable ally in a sector that demands constant change and adaptation,” Rusu adds. Whether we need a larger warehouse today or a smaller space tomorrow, WDP delivers.”

Strategic location and infrastructure: the advantage of Timisoara

The decision to establish operations in Timișoara was not made lightly. Its strategic position, coupled with strong infrastructure, offers a pivotal advantage for logistics companies like Kuehne+Nagel.

We chose this WDP warehouse in Timișoara for several reasons: size, capacity, accessibility, security, and scalability,” explains Rusu. The road infrastructure is excellent, with an exit on the highway and proximity to the border. This allows us to be present across the country and meet our customers’ demands efficiently.”

Adaptability in action

In logistics, change is not just inevitable — it’s constant. As businesses evolve and customer needs fluctuate, the ability to adapt becomes a critical competitive advantage. Kuehne+Nagel’s operations in Timișoara are a testament to this.

Our warehouse is currently less full, which opened up new opportunities to move to a smaller space temporarily. WDP made that transition seamless. And if tomorrow we need to scale up again, they can accommodate that with ease,” Rusu highlights.

This adaptability extends beyond warehouse space. When office space was needed within the new facility, WDP swiftly responded by installing a temporary container office, ensuring that operations could continue without disruption.

A shared vision for the future: Sustainability and smart warehousing

Both Kuehne+Nagel and WDP are committed to a future where logistics is not only efficient, but also sustainable. As the industry shifts towards greener practices, this partnership is already laying the groundwork for a smarter, more sustainable tomorrow.

We are excited about the next steps in our collaboration with WDP. Sustainability is a core focus for us, and we are working on metering our energy consumption in the warehouses to make them smarter. WDP is fully aligned with these goals and has already taken steps to support us,” Rusu affirms.

The power of collaboration

The partnership between Kuehne+Nagel and WDP is a model of how collaboration can drive innovation and growth. It’s not just about solving today’s challenges — it’s about anticipating tomorrow’s needs.

In WDP, we’ve found more than just a landlord. They are a partner who understands that our success is their success. It’s a true win-win,” Rusu concludes.
