Explore Katerina Andreescu’s five-year journey at WDP, evolving from accountant to Property Management Coordinator, embracing new challenges, and building strong client relationships along the way.

From Belarus to Bucharest

Hello, I’m Katerina Andreescu. Five years ago, I embarked on an unexpected journey with WDP, and today, I celebrate this milestone with gratitude for all the experiences I gathered, and excited anticipation for the future. Originally from Belarus, I moved to Bucharest in 2013 after marrying my Romanian husband. Embracing the culture and language here has been a beautiful experience, thanks to the support of my husband and friends.

An unexpected start

My path to WDP was quite unexpected. I wasn’t actively job hunting when a recruitment agency reached out. Initially, I declined, mistaking them for a company with offices far across the city. However, a follow-up conversation revealed WDP’s stability, benefits, and welcoming team. Intrigued, I joined, and soon I will be celebrating my fifth year here, which confirms it was the right choice.

Building strong client relationships

As an accountant, my role goes beyond numbers. I focus on building strong client relationships and providing unwavering support. My daily tasks include re-billing utilities and invoicing green energy to our tenants. This involves constant communication in order to properly and professionally address any client concerns. I think my patience and dedication to understanding client needs have earned their appreciation.

Embracing new challenges

One of my proudest achievements is my upcoming transition to Property Management Coordinator in February 2025. This new role is an exciting challenge, allowing me to blend my accounting expertise with property management. I’m particularly excited about leading the rollout of WDP Services in Romania, a new venture for both me and WDP Romania.

Team spirit and camaraderie

My colleagues would describe me as a patient, calm, and controlled team player. I take my work seriously but enjoy sharing a laugh when the moment calls for it. I strive to be a good negotiator and a supportive team member, always ready to lend a helping hand.

Memorable moments in Barcelona

A standout experience with WDP was our team event in Barcelona. It was a fantastic opportunity to bond with colleagues in a beautiful setting, creating lasting memories. These moments highlight the strong sense of community and camaraderie at WDP.

Passions beyond work

Outside of work, I have a passion for skiing, a skill I’ve passed on to my son during our annual family trips. Traveling is another love of mine, with Paris being a favorite destination. Additionally, I enjoy gardening in our backyard, eagerly anticipating the summer bloom of my flowers and trees.

As I celebrate this milestone, I’m thankful for the opportunities and experiences WDP has provided. Here’s to many more years of growth, learning, and success in this wonderful company.
