From a high-visibility location along the A3 motorway near Bucharest, the Decathlon warehouse serves as many as one million parcels a year to 54 shops in five European countries.

Just outside Bucharest, WDP constructed a full built-to-suit warehouse of more than 40,000 square metres for Decathlon, the international sports retail chain. From this high-visibility location along the A3 motorway, the warehouse serves as many as one million parcels a year to 54 shops in five European countries.

Brand new technology in Europe

WDP is fully committed to innovation in this warehouse: on the one hand by increasing efficiency thanks to automated lines, on the other hand, Decathlon was the first in Europe to implement the Geek+ robots that greatly support the efficiency of the warehouse workers. Smooth floor surfaces are an absolute must to achieve this.

Attention for the wellbeing of employees

WDP and Decathlon continue to pay attention to the people who get to work in the warehouse: sports areas were created for the 300 Decathlon employees where colleagues can enjoy their sport session during breaks or before and after working hours.
