WDP will develop an impressive expansion for Leen Menken Foodservice Logistics B.V. at the business park Lansinghage in Zoetermeer. This sale and leaseback transaction covers the existing cooling and freezing warehouse, together with a newly built freezing facility that’ll have a floor area of around 6,500 m². This cold storage facility was designed by RBK Group and shall feature 100% automated mobile racks. Construction starterd in February 2022. In addition, WDP will purchase the adjacent existing building and lease it out completely to Leen Menken Food Logistics B.V. through a sale and leaseback construction. Both properties will be taken into use in Q4 2022 on the basis of a long-term lease.

Everything is realised with an eye to sustainability and energy efficiency. The entire roof will be fitted with solar panels, with wind energy playing a vital role in the energy mix. This way, the building will become fully CO2 neutral.

Leen Menken Foodservice Logistics was founded in 1987 by Leen Menken. Initially a family business, the company was acquired by Bpost in 2018 and became a subsidiary. That, by extension, also makes it a subsidiary of DynaGroup. The company started out storing cooled and frozen products but diversified its portfolio to become a distribution partner focused on logistical unburdening for companies in the food industry.
