Lucian Vasile, a Project Manager at WDP Romania since 2015 values the supportive team environment and memorable experiences at WDP.

My name is Lucian Vasile, and I have been a Project Manager at WDP Romania since May 2015. Living in Bucharest, I stumbled upon an open position at WDP Development RO, and what began as an intriguing challenge quickly transformed into a fulfilling career.

The decision to join WDP was solidified after a conversation with Jeroen Biermans, Country Manager Romania, where I felt an immediate sense of belonging within the small, close-knit team. Within two weeks, I was part of the WDP family, and now, a decade later, I am celebrating this significant milestone.

In my role, I may not interact with clients daily, but I am deeply involved in the development phase, ensuring that every project meets our high standards. My focus is on maintaining timelines and delivering buildings that exceed expectations. Clients appreciate my determination, professionalism, and reliability, knowing that I am committed to delivering on my promises.

Throughout my career at WDP, I have been fortunate to work on several remarkable projects, I am proud of my contributions to the Auchan, Aquila, e‑pantofi, Pirelli, and CEVA logistics projects. I also took part in the building of the biggest warehouse of our portfolio, which started as a modest 20,000 sqm warehouse and then expanded to a staggering 140,000 sqm, becoming the largest building under one roof in Romania. Being the Project Manager for this endeavor was an exhilarating experience, and I am proud to have played a part in its success.

My colleagues often describe me as a quiet, focused individual who becomes deeply immersed in work. It’s not uncommon for them to tap me on the shoulder to get my attention. Despite my quiet nature, I enjoy the camaraderie and sense of community at WDP.

One of my most cherished memories is from WDP’s 25th-anniversary celebration in Barcelona. The international team event included a catamaran trip, offering a unique opportunity to bond with colleagues from different countries in a relaxed setting. These gatherings remind me of how fortunate I am to be part of such a dynamic and supportive team.

Outside of work, I am passionate about traveling with my family, which includes my wife and two daughters. We’ve explored Romania and ventured across Europe, creating unforgettable memories. I also have a love for fishing and even participated in a championship where our team emerged victorious.

As I celebrate this milestone, I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences that WDP has provided. Here’s to many more years of growth, collaboration, and success.
