Hello, I’m Reina De Clerck, and as I approach my five-year anniversary with WDP in March 2025, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey I’ve had with this company. Living in Peizegem, Belgium, I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside WDP, contributing to our shared success, and creating memorable experiences that have shaped my career.
An unexpected start
My journey with WDP began in a way I never anticipated. On my very first day, Belgium went into a full lockdown due to COVID-19, and like many, I had to quickly adapt to remote work right from the start. This sudden shift was challenging, but it also offered a unique opportunity to adapt and grow in ways I hadn’t imagined. Despite the challenges, I embraced my new role with enthusiasm and resilience , determined to make the most of the situation.
My path to WDP was sparked by a chance conversation with the previous Head of HR, who noticed my passion for personal training — a side hustle I cherish deeply. Intrigued by the enthusiastic portrayal of WDP, I explored job opportunities and found a perfect match as a Property Management Coordinator. Meeting Kristof De Witte, the Country Manager for WDP Belux, was a defining moment. His genuine enthusiasm and welcoming nature made me feel instantly at home, solidifying my decision to join WDP. From that moment, I knew I had found a place where I could excel and make a meaningful impact.
Being part of WDP has been an incredible journey, and I’ve proudly called myself a member of the team ever since. The challenges of starting during a lockdown only strengthened my resolve and commitment to the company, setting the stage for a rewarding career filled with growth and opportunity.
Making an Impact
Throughout my time at WDP, my role has evolved significantly. I began as a Property Management Coordinator and have since transitioned to a Product Manager for WDP Services. In this capacity, I provide our clients with additional services that enhance their operational efficiency. At WDP, we go beyond simply offering warehouses; I ensure our clients receive comprehensive solutions that transform their sites into welcoming and efficient environments. From branding and signage to wellbeing and safety solutions for their employees, my aim is to inspire and unburden them, enabling them to focus on their core business activities.
Grateful clients and proud accomplishments
Clients consistently express gratitude for my ability to unburden them with complete solutions that boost operational efficiency. My talent for negotiating with preferred partners and suppliers ensures that clients receive the best quotes and service levels. One of my proudest moments was the official launch of WDP Services during two client events in Belgium and the Netherlands. These events showcased WDP’s commitment to intelligent, efficient, and sustainable solutions, positioning us as a leader in the logistics real estate sector.
A colleague’s perspective
My colleagues describe me as supportive and encouraging, qualities I attribute to my experience as a personal trainer. My ability to uplift and motivate others is a testament to my dedication to fostering a positive work environment. My motto, “If you want to build the best warehouses, you need to build the best team,” reflects my belief in the power of teamwork and collaboration.
Treasured moments and personal interests
One of my most cherished memories is the team-building event in Barcelona, celebrating WDP’s 25-year journey. The vibrant city served as the backdrop for a three-day event that strengthened the bonds within #TeamWDP. The experience was not only a celebration of past achievements but also a glimpse into a promising future.
Outside of work, I enjoy my role as a personal trainer, spending quality time with family and friends, and taking walks in nature. These activities provide me with balance and fulfillment, allowing me to bring my best self to both my professional and personal life.
